Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar on September 5th, 1946. At the age of eight, he and his family moved to England, where he attended boarding school. Queen’s first album, “Queen”, was released in 1973, and was an immediate success. They continued to release successful albums throughout the 1970s and ‘80s, including “A Night at the Opera”, “Jazz”, “The Game”, “Hot Space” and “The Works”. In 1985, they released “A Kind of Magic”, which was a huge success and catapulted Queen to international fame.
